1. Request deletion by email
You can request deletion of your TeenFin account and associated personal information without reinstalling or signing into the app. TeenFin is operated by Teen Fin.
If the button does not open an email app, write to hello@teenfin.org with the subject “Delete my TeenFin account”.
- Include the email address used for your TeenFin account.
- Say that you want the account and associated personal information deleted.
- If you have an active plan, say whether you also need automatic renewal cancelled. Include a subscription reference if available.
- Send from the account email where possible. If you no longer have access, explain this so support can help verify ownership.
Do not include passwords, banking credentials, one-time codes or full payment card details.
2. Parents and lawful guardians
A parent or lawful guardian can request deletion of a child’s TeenFin account or withdraw consent by emailing hello@teenfin.org. Include the child’s account email and, where possible, send from the parent email used for consent.
We may request proportionate information to verify account ownership or guardianship before deleting an account or sharing account information. We will explain what is needed; do not send identity documents unless specifically requested through an appropriate process.
3. What deletion covers
Following verification, deletion covers the account profile, sign-in association, age details, learning progress, quiz and challenge records, points, badges and other account-linked personal information that no longer needs to be retained. Where service providers hold data on our behalf, deletion will also be requested through the relevant provider process.
Deletion ends access to the account and its saved progress. Ask any questions before confirming the request if you want to understand the consequences. Anonymous statistics that can no longer identify you need not be removed as personal information.
Removing TeenFin access does not delete your Google account. You can separately review TeenFin’s connection in your Google account settings.
4. Records that may need to remain
Some records may need to be retained for a legal obligation or a specific legitimate purpose, such as payment and accounting records, an unresolved dispute, fraud prevention or evidence of a consent decision. This is not permission to retain all account information indefinitely.
In our response, we will explain any information that cannot yet be deleted, why it is retained and the applicable retention period or basis for determining it. Retained records must not be used as an active learning account. Backup and service-provider copies may be removed on their relevant deletion schedules.
5. Deletion and paid subscriptions
Uninstalling the app does not stop automatic renewal. An account-deletion request is also not the same as revoking a bank or UPI payment mandate. If you have an active subscription, ask support to cancel renewal together with deletion so both requests can be handled and confirmed.
Ordinary cancellation leaves paid access available until the paid period ends. If you also ask to delete the account, you are asking to end account access and saved progress; deletion does not itself create a refund entitlement. Our standard refund policy covers duplicate charges, without restricting remedies required by law.
See the Subscriptions & Refunds Policy for cancellation instructions and payment concerns.
6. What happens after you contact us
Support will verify the request, explain any further information needed, and confirm the deletion outcome and any records that must remain. Requests will be handled without unnecessary delay and within applicable legal requirements. If a request needs more time, we will explain why rather than promise immediate removal from every backup or provider system.
For an update on your request, reply to the same email conversation with hello@teenfin.org. Consumer complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and addressed within one month of receipt, in accordance with applicable requirements.
Read the Privacy Policy for further information about data handling and your choices.
